Dayanand Anglo Vedic College is affliated to Punjab University. The college mission and abjective is trying to bring about this synthesis by imparting to the students the best of new world humanistic, scientific and technical knowledge with the sense of history of their rich cultural heritage-the Anglo and Vedic values. The college work to achieve these broad objectives. The college was built from scratch with missionary zeal. Brick by brick, the early principals and teachers of the college put in super human efforts to launch the college.

Nice college for sincere students

The teacher staff is good and helpful but the non teaching staff and the administration is not that helpful. The college crowd is also not that good. Near the college there are banks, rental rooms and ATMs. There is also a tennis courtyard and affordable restaurant. The cafeteria is good and the parks in the college is well-maintained. The teaching staff is good and helpful. They are friendly also. Teacher also recommend the books and say us to studying in library rather than buying them.

College life; moments awaiting!

As I had a perception of college life to be fun-filled and the friends time student have is so refreshing hearing from all my seniors and cousins .. I am so glad to experience It according to my perception .. the academics are so well intact.. new friends , a whole new arena of social and studious life. The library group studies are kinda amazing and knowledgeable .. having received motivational speeches from the alumni.. it's a place where you say goodbye to your teenage and have a pleasant welcome to a mature, fun-filled, relieving, and experiencing life. Apart from all the moments to be made during this life with a bunch of friends the extracurricular that I am a part of is just an icing to the cake as I never thought I could pursue my field of talent along with my studies .. I am really lucky that coming far from hometown for studies and to make a good career has proved to be so cool ,chilling and tremendous and also hope the upcoming years will be more experiencing and in favour.

DAV college- the place for fun as well as studies.

PLAGIARISED DAV college is a college which is follows the principlesof western society as well as Arya samaj so that one learns the goods parts of the western society while keeping in mind the important rule of our Indian culture in our lives. I lived in the college's hostel for a year. The quality of food was great, I would say. One would salad everyday, at least onions, cucumber and tomato only when they were seasonal. We prayed on a regular basis every evening after which our wardens used to take our attendance. The ground floor had a very spacious room, in which three persons were supposed to adjust. The first and the second floor' rooms were comparatively lesser spacious and occupied two people. There was a backyard where one can do whatever one desires to- play, talk with friends etc. A big hall had a plasma LED television and table tennis board. Now, the criticism- outing was allowed only till 6 o'clock in summers and 5:30 in winters whereas it is 10 o'clock for boys. Why such discrimination, I would ask? Apart from that, the hostel fee is quite high and no, that's not the problem, the problem is that they want all of it at once. In my time, it was 80,000 and they wanted it at once and that too, hand-to-hand cash; no online payment, no cheques accepted, no installments allowed. Now, the college- this college is located in the heart of the city beautiful, which is sector 10D of Chandigarh barely few miles away from the Asia's largest Rose garden- Zakir Rose garden. Lovely, isn't it? The college has some of the most reputed departments of Panjab University like the department of Biotechnology and food sciences and yes, I forgot to tell you that it is affiliated to the very prestigious Panjab University. I am a student of Psychology honours and I would say that some of the teachers of my department are as helpful as they can be to their students- always ready to listen to your problems and help you with the solutions. Of course, the bad or let's say not-so-good ones are always there. I wouldn't deny that. And I am to letting you know that attendence is never a issue in this college, maybe that's why it is so popular among the students. If you want to study, you are most welcome and if you are don't want that, why should they care anyway? And, they do not. ( ;P ) Now, I won't lie to you, the college's library is as bad as you can imagine especially if you like reading novels. I am sorry to disappoint you here. But hey, we students have found out a solution to that as well, the university's library! And here is the good news- this is as awesome as it can be. Most of the departments have their separate libraries and their is one common library as well. And if somehow, your luck is not being with you and you can't get access to this one, there is another library in sector -17 and all I can tell you that it is huge. Like really, really huge and has a large number of books. It's good to have options, isn't it? :) The alumini includes Kapil Dev, Yuvraj Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana ( who always started Aaghaaz - the drama club of the college) and Bhumika Arora ( she's an internationally acclaimed model, Google search her) and I have heard that DAV college has produced a large number of IAS and PCS officers ( I guess, that's because there is no attendence issue in the college or whatever) So, if you are looking for a place to study where you can also enjoy your college life, this is the right place for you. I hope this review will help you choose the best option that's available for you. All the best! :)

The best part of this college is the helpful professors who will be always there for you. As of my experience, my teachers supported and encouraged me even when I had no faith & believe in myself. Because they believe in me I completed my course with good grades.
