Cochin University School of Engineering has been well accepted as a research centre. A number of research projects have been sanctioned to the School by agencies like DSDT,Centeral Water Commission, ISRO, AICTE, Coir Board, Kerala State Coir Corporation, etc.These have helped to establish fullly equiped laboratories and promote research activities.The M.E. (by research) programme was intoduced in 2001 in various disciplines. The research community of the School has published papers in international/national level journals.

This may be relaxed if sufficient number of candidates with the minimum prescribed experience is not available. • Open seats will be allotted based on the score in Departmental Admission Test, marks obtained in the qualifying examination and experience. • Candidates will have to appear for a Department Admission Test (DAT) conducted in the Department/ School concerned. The admission to the M. Tech part Time courses is on the basis of the score in Departmental Admission Test, marks obtained in the qualifying examination and experience.
