Amazing !! Dissolving Boundaries, Evolving Senses.

PLAGIARISED One of the passing out batch of 2016, I feel obliged to answer this. Also, A2A. It’s been phenomenal. And before I become overwhelmed, let’s go step by step. The first time I came here, it was to collect the entrance form. We talked to the seniors and the teachers about the course and the exam, since CIC was just a year old and we barely had any other source. What surprised us was that we could see some students working in the Engineering Kitchen (EK), or as most of you would call it, lab, some working on projects in the classrooms, some helping out with the admission formalities, in the month of July, which was vacation as per DU. This was our first lesson in self-motivation and initiative. When you join CIC, you have to learn to take initiative yourself. HAVE TO. HAVE TO. It’s a must and it will only help you sail through these 4 years. We have societies and clubs being managed with little faculty help. And I don’t mean well-structured societies, I mean ones whose foundations were laid by students and teachers alike. When we joined, our first semester was a roller-coaster ride. [Ironically, we always used to admire this roller-coaster model kept in the EK in our first year.] So many new subjects, some of us were new to programming and algorithms, but we managed to make it through. I say make it through because with so many projects and new subjects along with this completely changed environment,we hardly got a moment to breathe. Extra-curricular But we saw to it that we had great fun alongside too. With Freshers and orientation of the first batch of B. A. Hons happening in our first year itself, we were exposed to a lot of events. Our seniors and teachers arranged for our Freshers all by themselves. They hadn’t received theirs with them being the very first batch of B. Tech (IT and MI), but they made sure that it wasn't repeated with us. Throughout our four years, our faculty kept changing, with new subjects being rolled out and each subject having three subsidiaries. But every teacher that we had made sure that we were comfortable in each subject they taught. They were accessible day and night. In times when our projects couldn't be completed before the deadlines, they stayed with us and helped us along the way. Even during the former DU festival, Antardhvani, we had to put up our innovation project stalls. For that some of the faculty stayed till each of us went home safely. Also, we get opportunities to work on our own startups through the TBI (Technology Business Incubator) and the DIC (Design Innovation Centre), which provide us with the required guidance and resources like labs, workplace, workstations etc. Culture This is my favourite part! All through the four years, from when we started as a 80-member something Centre to now, when we have full fledged batches in all three courses and even interns, we’ve seen CIC evolve into this wonderful ecosystem. We’ve seen thousands of changes in furniture, classrooms, faculty and what’s more amazing is that we’ve seen it since its inception stage (nearly, our seniors were the luckiest). We were such a small group that we learned from each other as much as we learned form the teachers. The teachers learned from us too. We cribbed about the exams, the deadlines, the irritating bugs in our code, like any normal college class. We’ve undergone this tremendous change from our spoon-fed school minds to open and self-motivated selves. Oh but we’ve just had so much fun. Here, we’ve celebrated Diwali, Christmas, Holi, our success, our failures and most importantly ourselves. And at the risk of sounding my cheesiest, I think we’ve had the time of our lives.

Here the difficult is done immediately, The impossible takes only some time.

Its an institute which will give you a chance to enhance yourself, your character, your personality. Research work is much appreciated. The teachers are unbiased, a large number of innovation driven hands on projects which ensures your active participation for the development of the society. Positive interactions with the fellow students as well as the teachers make the environment flexible.
