The Department has purchased books worth Rs. 9.0 lacs since 1999 and has 378 books covering all the courses offered in the M. Sc., M. Phil. and Ph. D. programmes. The funds for this purpose were provided by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, and the University of Jammu. The Department also subscribes to 8 international journals.

A great and enthusiastic life

The college provides a good atmosphere, student corners, study centers, labs and conference rooms. Academically the college the is good, though some changes the required. The faculty is good and the college provides sports amenities. The college organizes fest and cultural events as well. The college has a vast crowd. The college conducts international conferences, workshops, guest lectures and trips. The college has a placement panel and the salary packages offered by the companies are good. The faculty is cooperative and hard working. They spread awareness and are experienced.
