The Jaipur Campus functions under the academic guidance of the parent University at Mesra, Ranchi in terms of the academic curriculum, calendar as well as the semester examinations. The driving principle for the institute is that academic excellence can be achieved through an ideal incorporation of technology and innovative management practices with relevant professional exposure. With this in mind, campus started by offering PG level programmes in computer science and computer applications. Since then the range of programmes as well as the facilities have expanded to offer a wide range of academic programmes both UG & PG level.

Placement
For the past 50 years, the campus recruitment process of BIT has been supplementing the needs of different sectors of the industry. The department offers centralized services in Mesra, plus services in each of the extension centers, to meet the diverse needs of the BIT student population. The Training & Placement Division at BIT, Mesra, along with its counterparts at various other campuses of BIT, partners with recruiters to meet their needs most suitably. This is done by way of an active summer internship programme coupled with the on-campus recruitment programme.
Infrastructures
BIT's infrastructure includes lecture halls, research laboratories, workshops, library etc. covers an area exceeding 3,50,000 sq. ft. It has co-educational facilities with separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls. The well laid out campus provides all facilities for cultural, recreational and sports facilities.
Laboratory
The Central Computing Facility (CCF) forms an important component of the Institute's infrastructure, providing a wide spectrum of services to the students as well as faculty and staff involved in research and other academic activities. The CCF comprises of seven laboratories (of the Department of CSE and the Department of IT) housing approximately 400 computers having the very latest configuration.
Library
The BIT Central Library serves as a model of an evolving and dynamic facility in technical learning since 1955. The library, as an established knowledge hub that is conveniently accessible by those associated with the University, has a major contribution in making BIT an internationally top ranked Academic & Research driven institution.
