The Department of Computer Science is a part of Bhavnagar University, has grown both qualitatively and quantitatively over the years. Master of Computer Applications	-	Minimum qualification is Bachelor of Computer Application and Graduation. Admission will be based as per university norms.	-
Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science & Engineering	-	A candidate holding recognized Master's degree or recognized degree equivalent to Master's degree with at least 48% or equivalent grades are eligible to appear in this examination in the subject he holds his master degree. A candidate wo has appeared at the qualifying master degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited may also apply for this examination. Admission will based on (PET) examination.	-

The center is equipped with IBM servers, Intel Xeon servers and a number of desktop computers running software like various Operating Systems from MS-Windows family (Servers & desktops), Linux, RDBMS, etc.
