Bharati College, University of Delhi : Fees, Admission Procedure 2025, Entrance Exam Accepted & Placements

Bharati College, one of the top womenβs college in West Delhi, is a constituent college of the University of Delhi is located in a serene and scenic campus and caters to about 2000 students, offering instruction in eleven disciplines in the Arts and Social Sciences and students can opt for honours courses in 8 of them.
The College also offers a Masterβs course in Hindi. Besides their academic commitments, students must also participated in co-curricular activities ( NSS, NCC and Sports). The College has a very active cell of the National Service Scheme as well as a very capable and enthusiastic wing of the National Cadet Corps. The NSS works with physically and visually challenged students, inmates of the Tihar Jail, as support staff for the nearby Deen Dayal Hospital and with many other agencies. The NCC parade takes place on Thursday afternoons and on Saturdays. Many of our NCC cadets go on to sit for the βCβ and βBβ Certificates, making them eligible for employment in the army and other wings of the government.alumni In sports, the College has extensive fields with a state-of-the art basketball court, a volleyball court, kho-kho and throw ball fields and a fully developed cricket ground. Any student interested in sports is welcome to join the various teams, even if she has not been admitted on the sports quota.
Awards and Prizes
Besides the usual academic, sports, NCC and cultural prizes awarded to outstanding performers in every field, the College has instituted the following awards:
- The Durga Prasad Gaur Memorial Medal, to be awarded to a student who scores the highest marks in the aggregate of 3 years in the Hindi Honours Course.
- The Ram Narain-Raj Kumari Rastogi Smriti Chinha to be awarded to the student who scores the highest marks in the aggregate of 3 years in Sanskrit Honours.
- The R. R. Gupta Memorial Prize awarded to the student who scores the highest marks in English Honours in the aggregate of 3 years.
- The Shiv-Prabha award for the student who scores the highest marks in English Honours I year.
- The Principal P.L. Anand Memorial Award to be awarded every year to a student who scores the highest marks in the aggregate of 3 years in Political Science Honours.
- The Gambhir Memorial Awards of cash prizes of Rs 1000/- each are given to students every year who score the highest marks in the aggregate in Hindi Honours II year and BA Programme III.
- The Rama Dube Memorial Prize awarded every year to the best all-rounder in sports in I year.The all-rounder will be chosen by a Committee consisting of the Principal, the Sports Incharge, Convenor of the Sports Committee and the President of the Studentsβ Union.
- The S.P. Dube Memorial Prize awarded every year to the best all-rounder in sports in II year. The all-rounder will be chosen by a Committee consisting of the Principal, the Sports Incharge, Convenor of the Sports Committee and the President of the Studentsβ Union.
- The Shri Sultan Chand Trust Scholarship awarded every year to a student who secures the second highest percentage in the B.Com Honours II year.
- The Dr. Usha Aggarwal scholarships awarded every year to the student who secures the highest percentage of marks being above 70% in the B.Com Programme II year and B.Com Programme III year.
- The Urmil Tucker Memorial Saraswati Samman for the student who scores the highest marks in Hindi in B.Com Programme I year.
- The Shrimati Lajwanti Gupta Award for the student who scores the highest marks in Hindi B in BA Programme I year.
- The Shri Jitendra Chandra Banerjee Trophy for the student who has made an Exemplary Contribution to the Life of the College

Placement
The past year has been a very satisfying one for the Placement Cell of Bharati College with number of students being placed in reputed companies and large number of such companies visiting the campus, showing their inclination for recruiting students from the college in effective posts.
Infrastructures
Construction of the College building started in 1994 and in 1998, the College shifted to its new location at C-4 Janakpuri.
Classroom
The college has 23 classrooms and 46 tutorial rooms, a seminar and conference room.
Laboratory
The College has 3 Computer Labs. Computer Lab I is for students of Computer Applications, Computer Lab II is for students of B. Com and B. Com(H) and Computer Lab III is for general students. Computer Labs I and II can also be used by general students after the classes of their regular users are over. Library
The College has a large and well-equipped library with the latest text books, reference books and journals in various subjects and disciplines. It also has books, journals and magazines of common interest in order to encourage general reading and broaden the intellectual horizon of students. The library currently has 48,500 books.
