Placement

The Training and Placement Cell organizes a number of training programs for the students of all semesters with the help of in-house experts and experts drawn from professional agencies. The activities have proved exceptionally useful in shaping the career of students. The staff members of the placement cell work together as a team in moulding the students to the requirements of various industries. Several career guidance programs, reasoning tests, aptitude tests, puzzle solving, group discussions, mock interviews, brain storming sessions, case-discussion, pick and speak, sharing the experiences and communication skills etc., are organized on regular basis. In order to motivate and develop the personality of students, several HRD training programs are conducted regularly.

Library

The library is housed in a spacious building of plinth area of 1300 sp meters. The library has a collection of over 52,000 volumes related to all the branches of Science and Engineering. A large number of National (74) and International (106) journals and magazines are subscribed. Special volumes like Handbooks, Standard books, Manuals, Encyclopedias, Technical reports, ISTE Learning Materials, Project Reports, Non-Book materials and Conference Proceedings are also available to the students and

Good faculty and facilities

Hostels are good with very good WiFi facility all over the campus. Campus is very wide with vast area. Encouragement for very thing by lecturers. Infrastructure is also good. Food is good at first but later on you will get bored. Competition is not nat much.

Good college in North Karnataka

College has a well furnished infrastructure and a highly qualified staff. The college is built in more than 100 acre land. There is a large playground and indoor stadium, large auditorium and canteen. The college has a good placement record in every year and many MNCs visit the campus for placement for both UG and PG students. The college offers scholarship to merit students as well.

About the college, with respect to my own opinion

The teaching is useless. The college architecture is not good. The education is not up to what the students expected. There is no availability of new books in the college library. Teachers give only theoretical knowledge but not practical. The college is good for other activities like sports, workshops etc. Not a lot of companies come for student recruitment.

About Basaveshwar Engineering Collge, Bagalkot

Basaveshwar Engineering College was started in the year 1963 offering bachelor degrees in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. At present it offers degree programs in ten disciplines and ten post graduate programs including MBA & MCA. The College is a Government aided institution affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University (VTU), Belgaum in Karnataka and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Eight departments of the college have been recognized as Research Centers by VTU. Also five departments are recognized as QIP Centers for Ph.D programs by AICTE New Delhi. The college was granted autonomous Status by VTU and UGC in the year 2007. Since then the college has introduced Academic reforms by restructuring the curriculum keeping in view the technological developments and needs of the industry. The College has been selected under TEQIP phase II for scaling up PG and demand driven Research programs. Under this program new research laboratories and facilities have been created for the benefit of PG Students and research scholars to carry out high quality research work.
