they ruin your academic year again and again

VERY NEGATIVE REVIEW. COLLEGE NOT MENTIONED I study in Amity Law School, Delhi which is affiliated by the IP University. Being located in the Amity private campus it has a great infrastructure and pretty average staff but their attendance rule has destroyed so many lives, they don't even let you appear for the exams even if it's a medical issue. They will ruin your entire year if you don't meet the attendance criteria i.e 75%. Even students with 66% get detained. Why is this even a rule? I mean if you want to ruin student's year then it should be based on the academic basis! If the student is not able to clear the subjects then ruin his year but what the hell is this attendance criteria! I think attending 50% classes is more than enough but they will never settle for that. Look at the students in Delhi University and other universities, they perform better obviously because they are under less pressure and are able to study in a more efficient way. Whereas our main concern is traveling 40 km everyday and surviving boring lectures throughout the day and still thinking if you have made the 75% attendance. They will kill all your interest in the field of law because this way you are made to attend classes, forced to and when you are forced to do something you will automatically lose interest in it. Is that how bar council thinks that they will get good lawyers? After passing out from bullshit school rules, a person thinks college life would be better but little does one know that it's going to suck way more and it will make you think about giving up your life everyday. Students have already started with suicides but still the rules are the same. This is not right!

Nice college with good crowd!

Nice college and the crowd is quite nice here. There are many competitions like Parliamentary debate, moot courts, quizzes and sometimes even MUN organised. We are also trying to have the mediation competition in our college. Studies are also good. Nice college I will say.
