Your College Wardrobe

Waiting for college to start is boring. With cut off lists more than a week away, there's tons of spare time and not much to do, except wonder what college is going to be like. One can’t even think of preparing for college without thinking of wardrobes. After looking the exact same as everyone else around you for 12 years, it’s finally time to embrace your individuality. But let’s remember not to look like monkeys who got a VIP access card to Lady Gaga’s wardrobe! So here's some help with college fashion.

 

Yeah girls. I know. This is the perfect opportunity to buy those pretty boots, high-tops and wedges. (I searched shoes on Wikipedia…) And that pretty little pink dress you saw at Citywalk. And the… list goes on. But in order to... well, not look bad... pick stuff that actually suits you, or you’ll end up looking like a mannequin. No not the cool one’s at the big stores… I’m talking about those scary ones on the pavement shops of Lajpat! Tone down the makeup. The weather will be hot when not rainy, so it’s going to drip and smear.

Now, guys. Stop rolling your eyes, I know exactly how much time you spend choosing just the right deo and hair gel. Don’t overdo on the over shirts or leather jackets (Come on bro, its summer!). It’ll save a lot of deodorant. Oh, and as important as smelling good is, don’t empty the can of deo on yourself - it makes the girls go crazy, but not in a good way. The good thing is that we can wear really comfy stuff and get away with it. The bed-head look is an all-time favorite and is in this season, if you’re hunting for a specific look. Otherwise just be cool and stick to stuff that you know works with you! Camouflage prints are in this summer, just FYI.

The main thing is you have to look cool, casual and classy. Don’t be a wannabe, that’s just sad. Unfortunately, that’s what a lot of people look like. Avoid overdoing it, as it’ll look like you’re trying too hard. You have a lot of great ideas, but don’t put them all in one big presentation. There’s 4 years to be creative. Be yourself, that’s what suits you best! Finally, I don’t want to be a buzzkill, but remember there’s more to college than just looking good. It’s time for new friends and new beginnings. The best accessory that anyone can pull off is my biggest recommendation for you – your awesome smile!
