Workshop at Swasthya Kalyan College of Physiotherapy

Swasthya Kalyan College of Physiotherapy under Swasthya Kalyan Education Society will organize a workshop cum training programme for nursing personnel.

College holds these workshops in 4 different dates started from December 13, December 20, 2013 and January 3 and January 10, 2014.
Senior nursing staff overseeing blood transfusion is invited to attend the workshop.

Topic to be discussed:

• Proper filling of requisition form

• Criteria of Donor selection & deferrals

• Certification about different components of blood

• Storage of blood & components at hospital

• Detail of service and testing charges

• Special scenario such as transfusion in neonates, Rh negative patient, inter-group transfusion

• Detail of service and testing charges

• Proper sampling & labelling of patient blood

• Donor availability/VD Card/POR

• Voluntary/Replacement/Professional Donor

• Transportation of blood from blood bank to hospital

• Transfusion Reaction Management

• Procedure in cross match and time taken
