Vellore Institute of Technology University, Chennai organized national seminar on May, 2013

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT University) organized one day long national seminar on May 4, 2013. The seminar was on Emerging Trends and Research Avenues in Solar, Wind and Biomass Energy Technologies.

Energy has become precious nowadays and developing country like India has the greatest challenge in form of increase population and rise in the percentage of energy consumption. Urge for cleaner energy source is the main focus of Indian Govt. so that demand for electrical power can be meet. There is an urgent need for sustainable renewable energy sources. To save the earth from global warming, exploring the way of pollution free resources is essential.

Keeping this in mind and in an attempt to create general awareness about the trends, VIT University organized this seminar. This seminar mainly attracted industrialists, academicians, researchers and PG students from Engineering Colleges and Universities in disciplines of Mechanical, Chemical and Electrical Engineering.

Experts from National Research Organizations like NIOT, industries and reputed universities had marked their presence and delivered their speech on various contents. Seminar was sponsored by Rensol Power Pvt. Ltd & Ecosence Pvt. Ltd.
