Uttarakhand Open University to conduct Ph. D entrance test in July, 2013

Due to some internal reasons Uttarakhand Open University has extended Combined Research Entrance Test to July 14, 2013.

The Uttarakhand Open University is offering Ph. D. programme in the History, Political Science, Sociology, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Commerce, Management, Education, Journalism & Mass Communication, Tourism, Computer Science, Agriculture, Forestry and Yoga.

The Ph. D. programme of the university is designed to accomplish local and regional aspirations, fulfil national obligations and honour the international commitments through high quality research in various disciplines.

Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in the relevant subjects (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination and 50% marks (without rounding off) in Bachelor’s Degree from the universities/institutions recognized by UGC/AICTE/NCTE are eligible to apply for this programme.

A relaxation of 5 % marks (without rounding off) will be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories of Uttarakhand.
Candidates willing to take admission in Ph. D. program will have to qualify the entrance test.

Candidates willing to take admission in Ph. D. program will have to qualify the entrance test. The candidates who will clear the UCRET written test will appear before the interview board for final selection.
