UPSC CDS (I) 2022 Eligibility Criteria – The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is the conducting body of the Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam 2022. The exam is held at various centres across the country. The CDS (I) 2022 exam will be held on February 5, 2022. The registrations will start from November 9, 2022, and will continue until December 2, 2022. The admit cards will be available once the registration process is completed.

 

Before applying for the CDS (I) 2022 exam, a candidate must go through the eligibility criteria of the exam.

  • A candidate must be an Indian Citizen, or
  • A candidate must be a subject of Bhutan, or
  • A candidate must be a subject of Nepal, or
  • A candidate who is a refugee from Tibet but has migrated to India before January 1, 1962, and permanently settled in India
  • The candidates who have Indian origins and have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Kenya, Ethiopia, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Uganda with the aim of permanent settlement in India.

Indian Military Academy (IMA)

A male candidate applying for IMA must not be born earlier than January 2, 1994, and later than January 1, 1999. He must hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.

Officers Training Academy (OTA)

A male candidate applying for OTA must not be born earlier than January 2, 1993, and not later than January 1, 1999. He can be married or unmarried.

A female candidate applying for OTA must not be born earlier than January 2, 1993, and not later than January 1, 1999. She can be unmarried and an issueless divorcee who has not remarried and issueless widow who has not remarried.

S/he must hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.

Air Force Academy (AFA)

A male candidate applying for AFA must not be born earlier than January 2, 1994, and not later than January 1, 1998. The age is relaxed for candidates having a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA. He must not be born earlier than January 2, 1992, and not later than January 1, 1998. A candidate below the age of 25 years must be unmarried.

The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university. 

Indian Naval Academy (INA)

A male candidate applying for INA must not be born earlier than January 2, 1994, and not later than January 1, 1999. Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply.

The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
