I am a first-year MBBS student at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences. With less than three weeks to go for the AIPMT, medical aspirants should be ready to spend as much time as possible (at least 10 to 12 hours) studying/ revising. This is your opportunity to go through the biology NCERT textbook thoroughly.

Try to cut down on practising new physics questions and spending more time on revising high-score topics such as optics, mechanics, electromagnetism or modern physics. In chemistry, your focus should still be on physical (approximately 50%) and organic (30%) rather than on inorganic (20%).

You should expect a simple AIPMT this year, since it is of similar pattern as last year’s NEET and would be primarily NCERT-based. But like always, to be extraordinary, you need to go deeper than everyone else.

Take care of the negative marking, attempt as many questions as you can (don’t leave more than five to seven) but not the ones you have no idea about. Aim for around 75% to 80% to be able to get a good college of your choice. Never attempt more than two to three previous years’ question papers (except for AIPMT, for which you might want to go for five to six) for any entrance exam.
