TS Government Signs two MoUs to set up Academy for Aviation Courses

To set up Skill Development Centres in the aviation sector, Telangana government has signed 2 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) at the recently concluded Aero India 2022 in Bengaluru. The government officials released an official notification stating that they have signed two significant MoUs regarding skill development facilities to be set up in Hyderabad.

The first MoU was signed with three partners from France, namely National Skill Development Council, Airbus and Aero School Aquitaine. The prospect of this signing is to create a top-class Aero Skills Academy in collaboration with the academia and other industries based in Hyderabad. Its key focus is on developing skills of the youth and experienced professionals in accordance with the set standards of the latest industry trends.

The notification stated that the first MoU involves three partners besides the government. This consortium will set up a skill development centre in the old airport of Begumpet, and will design engineering courses relevant to the industry.

The second MoU was signed with Cranfield University, United Kingdom. It is one of the premier aeronautical engineering universities in the world.

The new academy will offer specialised programmes in the field of aeronautical engineering, manufacturing and maintenance. It will also offer basic training programmes for young students and vocational training. A few part-time courses or short courses may also be included in the list. These courses will be designed as per the industry requirements.

A series of meetings were organised by the Ministry of Defence in the Aero India, Bengaluru which was led by KT Rama Rao - Minister of Industries and IT.
