Training session for Research Scholars and Students at GJUST

Department of Bio and Nano Technology, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology will conduct a training session on March 6-7, 2014.

Session will be on Bioinformatics Tools & Techniques for Gene and Protein Analysis.

Objectives of the Training

• To create awareness among the participants about Bioinformatics

• To give exposure of concepts, skills, tools and techniques in the application area of Bioinformatics to the participants

• To train the participants on recent trends and future directions in this area

Course Contents:

• Computer basics, and maintenance

• Introduction to Bioinformatics

• Genomics and Bioinformatics

• Tools & Software

• Data mining

• Data ware housing

The course is open for research scholars and students working in the area of Biological/Life Sciences.

Aspirants are required to pay registration fee of Rs. 400/-. Boarding and lodging for participants will be arranged (on request) in the University’s double seated Faculty House on payment bases.
