Undergraduate management aspirants who are keen to know about the top BBA colleges under Delhi University, you’ve landed at the right place! Delhi University has revamped and renamed its undergraduate management programme BBA by the name of Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor of Financial Investment and Analysis (BBA-FIA), and Bachelor of Business Economics (BBE). DU BBA aspirants should make a note that these courses are only offered by a selected number of Du colleges.

The admission process in DU colleges for BBA-FIA/BMS/BBE programmes is through a centralised common entrance test known as Joint Admission Test (JAT). After the entrance test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview takes place for BBA-FIA and BMS courses. However, for BBE there is no Personal Interview and Group Discussion, but direct counseling process which is usually held after 2-3 weeks post JAT. This year JAT 2015 was conducted on June 14.

Eligibility for JAT

  • The eligibility for appearing for the JAT is 10+2 or equivalent from any recognised board such as CBSE.
  • The aspirant should have appeared and qualified in English, Mathematics and two subjects from among the following: Accountancy, Biology, Biotechnology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Geography, History, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology.
  • The General Category candidate should obtain an aggregate of at least 60% marks in his/her 12th class examination in four papers including English, Mathematics and other two subjects from the list of elective subjects as approved by the University of Delhi. Minimum percentage of marks for OBC is 54%, for SC & ST pass marks in qualifying examination, for PWD 55%, for CW 55%. Other conditions are same as for the General Category.

Selection Procedure for JAT

  • Admission will be jointly based on marks scored in the qualifying board and the entrance exam.
  • Candidates who clear the entrance exam will face Group Discussion and Personal Interview (Only for BBA-FIA/BMS). For BA (Hons) Business Economics, there won’t be any interview round, but direct counselling session and eventually allotment of the university.  
  • The mark-sheet of their qualifying exam must be produced on the Group Discussion & Interview day. For students applying to BA Hons. (Business Economics), the mark-sheet should be produced on the day of the counselling.
