Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission, also known as TNEA is conducted by the Anna University for candidates who are seeking admission in Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology courses in the AU campus or any other recognized institute located in Tamil Nadu.

Anna University, Chennai, is likely to start issuing application forms for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) 2015, to fill up government quota seats in colleges which are located in the state, from the first week of May.

“The Directorate of Government Examination has indicated that the Plus Two results could be published in the second week of May. Normally, we begin issuing application a week before the Plus Two results. So, we have decided to commence the issuing of TNEA 2015 application forms from the first week of May, which will go on till the end of the month,” said a university source from AU

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates belonging to the state of Tamil Nadu only are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates clearing the 10+2 or its equivalent qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
  • Minimum qualifying marks for TNEA is 50% marks in aggregate for General Category (for ST / SCA/ MBC & DNC/ BC/ SC candidates are required to score a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate)

  • Application forms can be obtained by post also by sending a requisition letter along with a DD for 700/- ( 450/- for SCA / SC / ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu along with Permanent Community Card)

Exam Pattern:

  • Question paper will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
  • Duration will be of 2 Hours 30 Minutes.
  • Paper will be only in English mode.
