The general academic counseling for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2014 has been postponed.

According to a press release on the official website of TNEA 2014, Anna University, the decision to postpone the counseling session has been taken in view of the Supreme Court (SC) of India’s orders, granting seven days’ time to the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to decide on all the pending applications for grant of approval to some technical institutes.

The counseling session was earlier scheduled to begin on June 27, 2014.

The revised schedule will be informed shortly by the website, according to the press release.

 

Anna University (AU) conducts the TNEA on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

TNEA is the process through which more than 1.5 lakh engineering aspirants get themselves enrolled into engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu through single window counseling.

Candidates need to carry all relevant documents for the counseling sessions.
