TEDx SIBM Bangalore this year was bigger and better with a lot of exciting speakers

Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Bangalore successfully organized its TED event 

TEDx SIBM Bangalore this year was bigger and better with a lot of exciting speakers gracing the occasion. Stalwarts from various fields were speaking about their area of expertise. The speakers for this year are:

• Nikhil D'Souza- Singer
• Alyssa Mendonsa- Singer
•  Kate Hallam- Formula-1 Super Model
•  Danish Aslam- Director, Break KeBaad, Salaam Namaste, Critique and Author
•  Alicia Souza- Founder of Chumbak
•  SatishAcharya- Cartoonist
• Armstrong Pame- IAS Officer, 'Miracle Man'
• AkashGautam- Motivational Speaker
•  MahalaxmiIyer - Singer
•  Lucky Ali - Singer
• PushpaBasnet - CNN Hero of the year

The Outdoor Marketing team of TEDxSIBM Bangalore which consisted of about 20 volunteers carried out a “TED walk” on February 5, 2014 at Meenakshi Mall in the city. The volunteers were seated are various locations in the mall and it created a buzz amongst the shoppers in the mall. The students were in a dress code of Red & Black and had worn masks which garnered a lot of attention from the people in the area. This was organised with an intention of spreading the word about the event.

Ragini Bhaia, an organizer said, “The response to this was absolutely great with a lot of people stopping the volunteers to enquire about the event. We wanted to create a buzz by this and we have been very successful. It was a unique initiative as it was a silent walk and just the way the volunteers were dressed got all the attention during rush hours.”
