Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is conducted annually by Anna University on the behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu for aspirants of MBA, M.Sc, M.Tech, MCA, etc. This entrance exam is undertaken by aspirants who want to pursue post graduation in different management, science & technology courses in University Colleges of Anna University, Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges, Arts & Science Colleges and Self-financing Colleges (Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges including stand-alone Institutions) in Tamil Nadu.
The TANCET 2022 application form will be available online or at specified coordinating centers from April 2022. The candidates who will be able to qualify the GATE exam will be exempted from taking the TANCET exam, which will be held in the year 2022.However, candidates who have valid GATE 2022 score in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers will have to appear for TANCET 2022 for admission.
TANCET 2022 Eligibility Criteria:
For applying in the entrance exam, the candidates must have passed any of the below mentioned examination or equivalent degree in the relevant field of study with a minimum of 50% for general candidates and 45% for students belonging to the reserved category.
· B.E or B.Tech or B.Arch. degree program
· B.Pharm. / B.Sc (Agri. / Forestry / Horticulture / Fishery)
· B.Sc. 3 years (Computer Science / Information Technology) and M.Sc. 2 years (Computer Science / Information Technology)
· MCA Lateral Entry (2 years) after 10+2+3 years degree in BCA or B.Sc.(Computer Science / Information Technology)
· M.Sc. (5 years) Integrated Degree Program
· Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts,
· MCA (3 years) after 10+2+3 years bachelor’s degree
Candidates with 10+2+AMIE OR 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) along with AMIE are also eligible to apply.
