The best part about college, aside from the freedom and friends, is the fests that are organized every year. These fests attract students most. From food to competitions to games, they have something for everyone.

And in this manner DU Colleges’ are quite famous for organizing their annual fest in grand manner. One of them which organized its fest is Janki Devi Memorial College, Delhi. College conducted its annual fest on January 21-22, 2014.

College fests are something that all students look forward to, for they provide a much needed respite from studies, tutorials, texts and snarky professors. These fests are filled with fun activities, great food, band performances, games and so much more.

Events: Day-1:

Day 1 was started with an inaugural session sharp by 10.30 am. Events that were scheduled for the day include:

Quiz show, photography competition, face painting/T-shirt painting, Mathematical Tambola, Sanskrit quiz and Group Dance on fusion music.

Day 2:

Day two was started with Shakespeare’s’ plays followed by classical music competition, classical dance (solo), rangoli and mehendi competition, Hindi debate, solo singing competition, poster making etc.

College fests attract not just students but even celebs. Celebrity visits to colleges are undoubtedly one of the biggest crowd pullers. Colleges with rich alumni, huge grants and a big budget usually manage to have famous celebrities visit their campus. Or in some colleges they organize rock shows. Janki Devi College also organized rock show and it was fare enough to set the stage on fire.
