Swachh Bharat Movement launched at Ansal University under the patronage of Shri Krishnapal Gurjar

Ansal University, Gurgaon the educational arm of the real-estate developer Ansal API, joined the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiated by the Prime Minister on October 2nd 2014. As part of the activation, Shri Krishanpal Gurjar, Honorable Minister of State, Social Development and Empowerment was present at the campus along with the students and the University fraternity to launch the national movement at Ansal University. Ansal University Vice Chancellor, Dr. R S Dhankar also emphasized the need and importance of cleanliness in our community life. He talked about adopting the cleanliness drive along with the government and encouraged people to become a part of this change.

 

 

Talking about the campaign, Dr. R S Dhankar, Vice Chancellor, Ansal University said, “There is a need to adopt the marginalized and under-privileged sections of the society and help create awareness around cleanliness among these communities. There is a need to train the youth based in these communities to bring about a change in their attitude towards cleanliness itself. We are also focusing on adopting and educating under-privileged communities near the campus and also encouraging our students to adopt cleanliness as a practice.”

 

 

Shri Krishanpal Gurjar highlighted the importance of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and the commitment of the government of India towards this noble cause of maintaining a clean and green environment. He also encouraged students to adopt personal cleanliness and sanitation and follow the path of cleanliness in social life, as adopted by father of nation Mahatma Gandhiji. He aimed at spreading the message of keeping one’s surroundings clean, while also focusing on cleanliness of mind and body.
