Jamia Milia Islamia is one of India’s renowned universities in India offering a range of courses from media studies and human rights to management and other professional courses. For the academic session of 2013 – 2014, Jamia Milia Islamia has introduced a new course – Chinese Language Certification course for a period of 1 year. The course will be offered by Academy of International Studies, Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI).

Eligibility criteria for admission to Chinese Language Certification course by JMI

• M.A degree with minimum 55% marks

Note – Candidates will have to have some knowledge of and interest in China, along with an aptitude and capability to learn a foreign language.

Application procedure for admission to JMI for Chinese Language Certification course

• Application forms can be obtained from Maktaba Jamia Ltd., Jamia Nagar, N.D – 25 by cash payment of Rs. 200 on all working days
• Students can also download application form from official website of JMI, with a DD of Rs. 200 in favour of Jamia Milia Islamia payable at Delhi/ New Delhi bank branches

Information on Chinese Language Certification entrance test by JMI

• Entrance test will consist of a written test carrying 60 marks and an interview carrying 40 marks
• Entrance test will be in 2 parts – 30 objective type questions carrying 1 mark & 2 short notes on topics relating to China carrying 15 marks each
• Candidates will be tested on their general knowledge and current affairs about China
• Comprehension and writing skills of the candidate will also be adjudged
