Students appearing for the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) re-test on July 25, 2015 would be required to follow a strict dress code on the day of the exam, says the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The board is resorting to stringent measures to ensure that no cheating activity takes place this time. During the exam held on May 3, as many as 700 students received answer keys through mobile phones.

“The list of barred items at examination centre is suggested in nature to maintain the sanctity of this re-examination being held as per orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and to avoid any inconvenience to the candidates during frisking and high security measures in place,” CBSE said.

CBSE has also warned that a candidate would not be allowed to sit for the exam if he/she doesn’t comply with these instructions.

The decision to re-conduct the examination came after the Supreme Court directed it re-conduct the test following allegations of large-scale irregularities in the examination held on May 3.

Around 6.3 lakh candidates had registered for AIPMT 2015.

The Board also made it clear that the re-test will be conducted only for "already registered candidates".
