Dr. Madan Pratap Khunteta Homeopathic Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre was started in 1965 and was known as Rajasthan Homeopathic Medical College and hospital. It was established to meet the need of Homoeopathic education on scientific lines in Rajasthan, with a well planned syllabus for the 4 years diploma course (D.H.M.S) as per the guidelines of the Central Homoeopathic Advisory Committee, Govt. of India.
About 19 students took admission in the first session and 9 were declared passed in 1969. College is permanently recognized by C.C.H. & the D.H.M.S. awarded by the college (1969 - 1973) is included in second schedule of Central Council of Homoeopathy. D.H.M.S. and B.H.M.S. of Rajasthan Homoeopathic Medicine Board & the B.H.M.S. & M.D.(Hom.) awarded by Rajasthan University and Rajasthan Ayurveda University, Jodhpur are also included in the Second Schedule.
This institution and the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur is the first in the world to start post graduate courses in Homoeopathy in the year 1991. The college offers undergraduate, post graduate, Ph. D, Life Sciences, Diploma and certificate courses.
