Scholarship Award Function 2014 at Amity University

To reward the hard work done by meritorious students in their academic endeavours and encourage them towards higher excellence, a “Scholarship Award Function”, spread over two days, was held at Amity University on March 4, 2014.

During the first day, 82 students were awarded “Dr. Ashok K Chauhan Scholarship”, 216 were awarded “On Admission Merit Scholarship” and 101 were awarded “Merit Certificates” by Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President – Amity Group; Mr. Atul Chauhan- Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh and Dr. Balvinder Shukla- Vice Chancellor, AUUP

Hundreds of parents accompanied their wards to the momentous ceremony and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for providing multiple platforms and requisite support to the students for their holistic development.

Addressing the proud recipients, Dr. Balvinder Shukla- Vice Chancellor, AUUP remarked that Scholarships awarded to the students are the proud testimony of their hard work, diligence, commitment and sincerity. She stressed that it is with the grace of God and blessings of parents, teachers which help a student to achieve difficult goals. She shared that as per the vision of the Founder of Amity University, brilliant students should be encouraged and motivated to achieve greater heights and no student should stop studying because of the lack of resources.

Congratulating the awardees, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Group said “It is a matter of immense pride for parents, teachers and the entire Amity family to share the joy of seeing the students being rewarded for their meritorious performances”. Dr. Chauhan added that these brilliant students will lead and show the path to the world. “Amity students possess good command over behavioural science and have the power of virtue, ethics and morality coupled with academic excellence which will enable them to experience success in each and step of their lives”.

The proud recipients of the scholarships expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their parents, faculty members and institution for their achievement and success.

Pallak Chabbra- a student of B. Tech- Computer Science and Engineering and second time recipient of Dr. Ashok Kumar Chauhan Scholarship thanked Amity University for grooming her as a good human being and thorough professional. She thanked Amity for providing her numerous avenues to give expression to her innate talent and providing her encouragement and motivation in the form of scholarship to aim higher and higher in life.

Mrs. Shalu Bhargava- parent of a Scholarship Recipient, Satakshi Bhargava from BBA LLB programme expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the University for acting as a launch pad for her daughter’s bright future and helped her to rediscover her talents in a congenial environment. She remarked that at Amity, learning never stops and students are encouraged to find the true calling of their lives.
