Aurangabad based Art Academy the MAHAGAMI (Mahatma Gandhi Mission Sangeet Academy) is conducting a four days unique Art Festival named as ‘Sarangadeva’ from January 16-19, 2015 at MGM premises.
The festival includes Sarangadeva Prasang from January 16-19 which is a seminar on Sangeet Ratnakar and other texts and their relevance in present day performing arts. On the other hand Sarangadeva Samaroh is 3 day Dance and music festival conducted from January 16-18, 2015.
Sarangadeva Samman a National Award named after Sarangadeva Samman was also initiated by MAHAGAMI Director Parwati Dutta. This is conferred every year to the great Guru or scholar in the field of Indian Traditional Art. This year the award goes to great Kathak Guru, thinker and choreographer Padmabhushan Kumudini Lakhia.
