A diet rich in protein and regular breaks between your study sessions will help students score well in exams, said experts on Saturday during the first leg of Horlicks Mission Exams 2011 that was launched to help students and parents cope with the upcoming examination season.
Students who are stressed about upcoming exams should take enough proteins when they are preparing. Milk, eggs, lentils and other protein-rich foods should be taken adequately as they help in concentrating better while white bread, biscuits and wafers should be avoided,' Max Healthcare's regional head (dietetics) Ritika Samaddar said.
The experts also advised that children should take regular breaks between study sessions. A 5 minute break is necessary after every 20-30 minutes of studying, because studies have shown that the concentration levels drop steeply after 20 minutes of studying.
