National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship (NIFTEM) organized a national level seminar on August 23-24, 2013.
The conference provided excellent opportunities to interact with the professionals of the various segments of the agro food processing industry, policy makers from the Government departments, professionals from the agri-business segment, entrepreneurs, equipment & laboratory instrument manufacturers, consultants, faculty from research institute, R&D institutions, industries’ representatives from core and allied sectors of agro food processing industry in India and abroad.
Contributions were sought with a focus on current areas of agro-processing, hi-tech agriculture, precision farming, post harvest technologies and product/process development. There will be a special session to evaluate extension technologies at grass root level to spread food processing technologies.
Attraction of this seminar was post Seminar tours will be arranged, depending upon the response, to Kurukshetra and/or to Agra, Delhi on nominal payment basis.
Arrangements for accommodation of delegates made in Porta Cabins on NIFTEM Campus at nominal charges on first come first served basis. Students were offered hostel accommodation. Those unable to get Campus accommodation or unwilling to stay on Campus, were offered reasonably priced hotel accommodation.
