Registrations open for KEA, Bangalore PGCET 2014 !

Candidates seeking admissions to M.E, M.Tech and M.Arch courses in the colleges across Karnataka can now apply to PGCET 2014 conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Students interested in applying to KEA Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2014 can click on the link given below.

Apply to KEA PGCET 2014

KEA will be accepting applications by the end of July 10, 2014. PGCET 2014 is scheduled to be conducted on July 26, 2014.

Students can seek admission to colleges under KEA for their postgradudation in M.E, M.Tech and M.Arch courses 2014 on the basis of either their PGCET 2014 scores or their scores in Gate.

Eligibility for KEA PGCET 2014

• For Full Time M.E. / M. Tech / M. Arch courses: A candidate who has passed prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years is eligible for admission to M.E. / M. Tech / M. Arch courses. 45% of marks in case ofSC, ST and Category-I candidates.
• For Part Time M.E. / M. Tech / M. Arch courses: A candidate who has passed prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects in all the years is eligible for admission to M.E. / M. Tech / M. Arch / courses. 45% of marks in case ofSC, ST and Category-I candidates.

In addition to this candidate after obtaining the complete degree, must have worked for not less than three years before the issue of notification for the relevant year, in an establishment and must be working in an organization situated within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission.

How to apply online to PGCET 2014 KEA

• Candidates have to apply online.
• Candidates are advised to read the instructions before filling the application form.
• Candidates have to take the photocopy of the necessary documents and scanned copy of the candidate's photo and signature.
• Candidates have to take the printout of the bank challan and they have to pay Rs 650/- for general and OBC candidates and Rs 500/- for SC/ST candidates.
• Candidates have to pay the required fee in any of the branch of State Bank of Mysore.
• Candidates who are residing in Karnataka can also pay in e-challan via post offices. The post office will retain post office copy of the challan and handover the candidate copy of the challan to the candidates.
• Candidates have to take the printout of the filled application form and keep it with them.
• Candidates are advised to bring this application during the document verification process.

Allocation of Seat for KEA PGCET 2014

• In the case of M.E. / M.Tech./ M.Arch (Full Time) courses, first seat will beallotted to VALID GATE SCORE candidates irrespective of the Karnataka or non- Karnataka. However, reservation is applicable only to those who become eligible asKarnataka candidates and the same is not applicable to Non-Karnataka GATE rankholders. Non-Karnataka GATE rank holders will be considered under Open / GeneralCategory.
• After allotment of seats to eligible GATE rank holders is over, the seat that remainsunder General category, 90% of the seats are reserved for Karnataka Candidatesand the remaining 10% for Non-Karnataka Candidates to the eligible PGCET-2014rank holders.
