Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test 2013 To Be Held on 23rd May 2013

The Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan has announced that the Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test (RPET) - 2013 for admission to undergraduate programmes in different disciplines of Engineering (B Tech/ B.E) for academic session 2013 – 2014 will be conducted on May 23, 2013.
 

Eligibility criteria:

The minimum academic qualification for admission to B.Tech./B.E. program in Rajasthan is a pass with atleast 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to “SC/ST/ Non Creamy Layer OBC/ Non Creamy Layer SBC” of Rajasthan state) in the subjects combination as given below taken together, in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan/ Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (10+2) in 2013 may also apply.
 

Age Limit:

Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1988 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1983 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education mark sheet / certificate only will be taken as authentic.

RPET-2013 will be conducted on 23rd MAY, 2013 (Thursday) from 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 Noon at the centers in the following cities :

• Bharatpur
• Bhilwara
• Bikaner
• Churu
• Hindaun City
• Jaipur
• Jhalawar
• Jhunjhunu
• Jodhpur
• Kota
• Pilani
• Sikar
• Sirohi
• Sri Ganganagar
• Sawai Madhopur
• Tonk
• Udaipur

Important instructions:

• Read the form filling instructions.
• Fill exam form with complete and correct information
• Remit the fee for form 

Verify the filled form data before final submission.

The next step of RPET 2013 Online Registration will involve generating the print out of filled form.

The candidates have to send the following supporting documents with the print out and send to Board Office till 5 pm on 13th of April, 2013 via Speed or Registered Post:
 

• Mark sheet copies of Class X, XI and XII
• E – Mitra receipt along with Token Number
• All details of his/her parent’s income sources

Important Details:

• RPET 2013 will have a single paper of 3 hour duration with 40 objective type questions in the subjects of Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics leading the total number of questions to be 120.
• Reservation of seats:
• SC: 16%
• ST: 12%
• NCL OBC: 21%
• NCL SBC: 1%
• PH (Horizontal): 3%
• Women Candidates: 25%
• Dependents of Defence Killed/ Gallantry / Ex – Servicemen: 3%
• RPET 2013 will have 5% over and above reservation for candidates of Kashmiri Migrant category
