Radio Mirchi Freshers 2016 at Manav Rachna International University

Radio Mirchi Freshers 2022 at Manav Rachna Campus brought in a fresh surge of excitement as the event was no ordinary Freshers contest. The Students braced themselves for the occasion and enjoyed themselves to the hilt. The Freshers have had their fair share of talent hunts before and this was THE EVENT that had given them the much sought after glory and fame. The boys and girls were all ready and raring to go when judges from Radio Mirchi came calling at the campus. With Mr. Abhinav from Radio Mirchi anchoring, the stage was all set! The venue, central lawn, was packed to capacity, as the participants took to the stage, cheered on by their friends and fans (some of them have a very large following).

This was one opportunity they were not going to miss, for here was a chance to showcase their talent and add value to the Manav Rachna brand. The event was a pack of six rounds and to begin with the first round non elimination round was an ice-breaker as participants got around to introducing themselves. They gave their names, departments and how they perceive themselves.

The introductory round helped the judges and the audience to get acquainted with them. The second round threw the spotlight on talent as the participants sang danced, recited poetry. Manav Rachna has got talent and the new comers were in fact living up to it. To check the intelligence level, third round was a quiz round in which several tricky questions were asked to check the candidates.

After third round judges selected only five best students to qualify further. These were Khushbu Jha (2nd Semester BBA – FCBS), Prayush Palak (2nd Semester CSE – FET), Yashu Meel (2nd Semester, ECE FET), Niharika Mishra (2nd Semester, BCA – FCA) and Diksha Bhati (2nd Semester, ECE FET). The fourth round was ramp walk to impress the judges.

To make the event more interesting fifth round was introduced in which girls were blindfolded and they were made to smell a particular perfume and then that same fragrance. Perfume was used on their partner so the team which would get to know first would win the fifth round. This round was won by Khushbu Jha and Yashu Meel as they completed the task in (0.0 sec). Finally there  was a prize distribution ceremony were Mr. and Ms .Fresher were Yashu Meel (2nd Semester, ECE FET) and Khushbu Jha(2nd Semester BBA – FCBS),  Prayush Palak (2nd Semester, ECE FET) was declared as Mr. Hotstar and Diksha Bhati(2nd Semester, ECE FET)  as Beautiful Skin. 

The winners from this contest will represent Manav Rachna at Radio Mirchi’s national level event.
