Punjab Agricultural University organizes Annual Group Meeting on April 2013

The XXVIII Annual Group Meeting AICRP-National Seed Project (Crops) 2013 is going to be held at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana from April 27-29, 2013. University has arranged accommodation for guests coming for this event in hostels as University Guest House is under renovation. The invitees are requested to make sure their participation and travel plan so that accommodation arrangement can be manage accordingly.

The session consists of certain topic as center of attraction like

• Inaugural Session
• Discipline–wise Presentation of Progress Report
• Inter-Project Linkage – Crop Improvement, Review & suggestions for quality seed research
• Priority issues in seed research
• Review of Breeder Seed Production and Policy issues
• Finalization of Recommendations/Technical
• Programme Formulation for 2013-14 in concurrent session
• Scientists Interaction
• Plenary Session
• Chairman’s Remarks

Session will end up with vote of thanks by Dr. S. Rajendra Prasad, Project Director, DSR, Mau and Dr. H. S. Randhawa, Director (Seeds) PAU, Ludhiana

About the University

The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in Ludhiana, Punjab is one of the State Agricultural Universities in India. It was established in 1962. At present the university offers five bachelor's degrees, 51 master's degree and 42 doctorate programmes in 50 departments of five constituent colleges.
