As we nurture a sapling to grow into a healthy tree which can serve the society, the very same way it is required for the humans as well.
Such initiative of nurturing, grooming and valuing the young individuals at the ITM University has been undertaken by the School of Professional Attachment. Aarohan, the student driven pre-placement club at SPA has successfully executed its first event, PRASTUTI – The war of presentations in January 2014. University’s 2nd & 3rd year students Chirag Aggarwal(3 year, EECE) and Pulkit Garg(3 year, EECE) came up with this brilliant idea of PRASTUTI.
One of the most important attributes for successful people in corporate world today is the ability to present well. In order to instil better presentation skills in the students of ITMU, this competition was organized. The main aim of it i.e. to bring out a parallel personality of the students which is much more bold and confident was very well met.
More than 40 teams from the School of Law, School of management and School of Engineering and Technology registered for the event. Not only the skilled students but also those who wanted to overcome their fear of public speaking came up with utter enthusiasm to participate.
The event was inaugurated by honourable Vice Chancellor of ITMU, Dr. Prem Vrat on the January 21, 2014 which was succeeded by the prelims where 20 shortlisted teams showcased their presentations. The occasion was made more meaningful with the presence of our esteemed judges, Directors, HODs, Dean and faculty members.
The finals of PRASTUTI, held on February 12,’14, was a day of bang on. The 8 finalist teams have put their best of efforts to make it to the top. But only the teams that got into the subject, got the subject into themselves and got their subject into the heart of their audience with their excelling presentations turned up as the winners (Natasha Sahni, Navya Chopra and Rupali Srivasatava from SOL) and the runners up(Gaurav Gattani, Puneet Khanduja and Abhinav Malik from SOM).
Lastly, the event was ended with a certificate distribution ceremony and a promise to keep going with the spirit of learning, to bridge the gap between campus and corporate.
