National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) along with Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), USA is organising POMS-PLF 2015 on December 18, 2015 and December 19, 2015 on "Innovations In Manufacturing Operations to Enhance Firm Performance" at NITIE, Mumbai.
The Practice Leaders Forum (PLF) is a rigorous approach envisaged by NITIE and POMS, to comprehend and analyse the challenges faced by practicing managers.
The success of PLF is in its endeavour to foster collaboration between the various stakeholders from the industry and academics to achieve manufacturing excellence of firms by practicing innovation. This PLF will have a special focus on the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) engaged in the Manufacturing sectors, namely -
- Automobile / Automobile Components (Special focus - Product Quality and Productivity)
- Consumer Durables (Special focus - Supply Chain and Logistics Management)
- General / Heavy Engineering (Special focus - Operations Excellence and Manufacturing Management)
- Engineering Project and Construction (Special Focus-Project Implementation Challenges)
PLF would explore and discuss emerging operational issues in the context of enhancing manufacturing competitiveness and seek to address issues confronted by manufacturing firms through collaborative peer learning and brain storming.
