Power Grid Recruitment Through GATE 2022- Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. has issued an official notification for recruitment through GATE 2022. Candidates who are appearing in GATE 2022 will be able to submit their application form from 05 January 2022. Selected candidates will be appointed to the post of Executive Trainees (ET) in the disciplines of Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science and Civil Engineering. The registration window will be opened for Indian nationals only. Candidates have to update the GATE 2022 details in registration form so, prior to all, submit the GATE Application form 2022 before 05 October 2022. Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive CTC in the pay scale of Rs. 24900-50500 during the one-year training period and will be revised after their appointment.

Before filling the application form, candidates should check the eligibility criteria of Power Grid Recruitment Through GATE 2022. Check the provided eligibility norms-

Age Relaxation

A relaxation in upper age limit will be provided to the candidates who belong to specific category-

• OBC(NCL) candidates : 3 years
• SC/ST candidates : 5 years
• PwD candidates : 10 years over and above category relaxation
• J&K Domicile / Ex-Servicemen/ Victims of riots- As per Govt. of India directives

Power Grid Recruitment Through GATE 2022- Application Process

The online application window for Power Grid Recruitment Through GATE 2022 will be started from 5 January 2022 to 31 January 2022 at www.powergridindia.com. Candidates have to register themselves with details of their GATE Application No., GATE Roll number and other relevant information in the application form. Follow the below given steps to fill the complete application form-

Step-1- Online Registration- Once the recruitment process starts, candidates will be required to register themselves online at the Powergrid website, www.powergridindia.com with all the asked details. Fill the application form with correct information else, there application form will be rejected without any prior intimation.

Step-2- Upload Documents- Upload the relevant documents such as scanned copy of recent photograph, signature, or graduation degree in the specified dimensions.

Step-3- Pay the Application Fee- Candidates are required to login to their candidate’s login section and then deposit non-refundable application fees of Rs. 500/- through online mode only. SC/ST/PwD/ Ex-SM/ Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.

In case of any clarification regarding the recruitment, candidates are advised to send an email to et23@powergrid.co.in with “ET 23-____________” in the subject line. Candidates are also advised to add the given email-id to their address book to avoid any email communication gap.

Power Grid Recruitment Through GATE 2022- Selection Procedure

Eligible candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the GATE 2022, Group discussion and Personal Interview.  

Aspirants will have to appear in the corresponding GATE paper, i.e. Electronics and Communication (EC) / Electrical Engineering (EE)/ Computer Science and Information Technology (CS)/ Civil Engineering (CE). 

Candidates who attain a valid and minimum GATE scores will be called for the next level of recruitment process i.e. Group Discussion. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their category-wise normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2022, in the respective paper for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

The interview call letter will be uploaded on the official website of POWERGRID which they can download through the candidate login. During the Group Discussion and personal interview, candidates have to bring the original documents that satisfy their eligibility such as graduation degree, date of birth certificate, GATE Score card/ admit card, etc.
