Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani ! IIM-Ahmedabad Placements

India is the flavour of the placement season at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA).

Call it the effect of the meltdown in the US and European markets or the better position of the economy at home, several students from the premiere management institute have chucked lucrative offers from foreign shores to stay back.

Final placement results of 2011 at the IIM-A indicate that 85% of the students of Post Graduate Programme (PGP) accepted job offers for working in companies in India.

This is in stark contrast to the earlier trend where the graduates would prefer international offers to those at home.
