Ph.D. Programme 2012 by Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences: Admission Notification

Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences (RMRIMS) is a designated centre of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for bio-medical informatics. RMRIMS is involved in research on Visceral Leishmaniasis (Kala-azar), HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis. 

RMRIMS offers courses in various interdisciplinary areas of Biochemistry, Entomology, Bioinformatics and Drug Discovery, Clinical Medicine, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Immunology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, etc.

Eligibility for Ph.D. Programme in RMRIMS

• You must have 55% or above marks in M. B. B. S. / M.Sc / M.Tech/ M. Pharm. / Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Statistics/ Zoology/ Life Sciences or equivalent degree recognized by UGC.  
• SC/ST candidates having 50% or more marks in above mentioned degree are eligible to apply. 
• You are eligible to apply for Ph.D. programme in RMRIMS if you are appearing in final examination of the required degree.
• If you have qualified eligibility test for JRF in CSIR-NET/ DBT/ ICMR, you are exempted from the written test but you are required to fill the form and appear in the interview.
• If you are having M.B.B.S. degree, you should have three publications as first author in peer reviewed International journals of the relevant discipline prior to registration.

Application Procedure for Ph.D. Programme in RMRIMS

• You can apply for Ph.D. programme in RMRIMS by writing or typing the application in Times New Roman font on A-4 size plain paper in given format.
• Every column should be essentially filled. 
• You should sign each page of the application form and documents. 
• You must attach the crossed demand draft for Rs. 300/- of six months validity in favour of Director RMRIMS, Patna payable at Patna with complete application form. A demand draft for 200/- is acceptable from SC/ST candidate with relevant documentary proof. 
• You should attach self attested copies of the certificates or mark sheets with the application. 
• You should enclose two recent passport size photographs. One of these should be signed by you and pasted on the application form. 
• Attach two self-addressed stamped (Rs.5/-) envelope of 10 cm x 22 cm with application.

Format for Application for Ph.D. Programme in RMRIMS

You should write or type your application in following format:

• Paste 1 self attested passport size photograph on right hand side of application form.
• Details of Demand Draft (I) Number (II) Date of Issue (III) Values in Rupees (IV) Bank drawn on (Any of the nationalized bank, payable at Patna).
• Name of the applicant 
• Name of Father/Mother
• Whether belonging to SC/ST/OBC.
• Date of Birth
• Nationality
• Permanent Address
• Address for correspondence 
• Contact Telephone/Mobile No. if any 
• Contact E-mail Address, if any 
• Academic Record, for each of the following examination (i) Matric, (ii) Senior Secondary(10+2) or equivalent, (iii) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and (iv) Master’s degree or equivalent. 
• Please give the following information (a) Name of the examination (b) Subjects (c) University or Board (d) Year (e) Division or Class obtained and (f) Aggregate percentage obtained 
• Thesis title and/or Research publication if any
• Result of JRF in CSIR-NET/DBT/ICMR etc Examination, if any
• National Science Talent Scholarship if awarded.
