Delhi University (DU) is inviting applications from the eligible candidates for admission to Ph.D. Programme in Botany (for 15 seats) for the academic session 2022-17 in the below-mentioned areas of specialization:
- Plant Developmental Biology
- Plant Physiology and Biochemistry
- Environment & Ecology
- Molecular Biology
- Molecular Genetics
- Plant Biotechnology
The admission will be offered on the basis of an entrance test which will be held on June 1, 2022.
The candidates who have cleared NET-JRF with national level fellowship are exempted from the entrance test but need to apply for the Ph.D. Programme on prescribed form. JRF/NET qualified candidates together with those found eligible after entrance test will have to appear for an interview scheduled on 16th July 2022 after which a final list of short-listed candidates will be announced on DU Website. The list of short-listed candidates would be valid for one year.
The syllabus for entrance test will be that of M.Sc. Botany as available on Delhi University website (www.du.ac.in ).
The candidates are required to send the application form to the Chairman, Admission Committee, Department of Botany, University of Delhi, latest by 16th May 2022 (5.00 pm). No application through e-mail will be entertained.
