PGIMER Admissions 2014: Applications invited for MD and MS courses

Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh is now accepting applications for admission to its Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) programmes for the academic session 2015-17. Interested candidates must submit their application forms latest by October 14, 2014.

Eligibility for PGIMER MD and MS courses 2015-17

• The applicants must possess an MBBS, or its equivalents qualification, from a university which is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
• The applicants must have completed or should be due to complete a one year rotatory internship training on or December 31, 2014.
• It is mandatory for all the applicants to be registered with central/state medical registration council.

Selection Procedure: 

• Candidates seeking admission to PGIMER will have to appear for an entrance exam which is conducted by the institute.
• The admission is purely on merit basis, depending on the scores secured by the applicants in the entrance test.

The application along with copies of certificates duly attested in support of educational qualification(s), experience, age/date of birth certificate, caste certificate, Fresh OBC certificate,challan form and NOC from the present employer, if employed should be sent through Registered Post or Speed Post to the Registrar, PGIMER, Sector-12, Chandigarh-160012. The application received through Courier/ Ordinary Postal Dak etc. are not acceptable. The PGIMER will not be responsible for any postal delay.

The Prospectus/ application form/ Challan form is available only on PGI website.

• Sale of Application forms/ Prospectus to begin from 10.09.2014
• Last day of sale and receipt of application forms is 14.10.2014. Candidates should note that no application forms shall be accepted after 5pm, October 14, 2014.
• Dates for generating the Challan form from 10.09.2014 to 10.10.2014 (2359 hours) and the
•  State Bank of India will accept the fees upto 14.10.2014.
