Paper Presentation Competition at Sinhgad College of Engineering

The Production Engineering Department of Sinhgad College of Engineering recently organized a paper presentation competition on August 23 & 24, 2013.

Students from various colleges across the city participated in the event. They had a variety of choices to choose their topics under categories like Manufacturing, Design, Tools and Precision Engineering, Material Science and Management. The event witnessed a lot of fervour, passion and enthusiasm in students.

The participants were supposed to make an abstract, which was scrutinized and were then asked to prepare a paper. Here participants presented their topic in front of the distinguished judges. The participants were given ten minutes to present their presentation followed by the questionnaire.

Rachana Dalbhajan and Snehal Bomlefrom AISSMS bagged the first price worth Rs.5000, Krishna Nair and Ashwin H.L. again form AISSMS bagged the second price worth Rs.3000 and Nakul and Mahesh Sonawane from SKNCOE bagged the third price worth Rs.2000. The consolation prize went to Neeraj Palva and Swapnil Kulkarni from SCOE and Meenal Patil again from SCOE.

“The event was a big success and beyond doubt would not have been possible without the sincere efforts of the teachers, the volunteers, and the housekeeping” says the source.

Sinhgad College of Engineering is a technical education institute in the city of Vadgaon (Budruk), Pune, India. The institute is affiliated with the University of Pune and managed by the Sinhgad Technical Education Society (STES).It has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation and recognized by the AICTE. College offers engineering courses in UG/PG leve.65% of students are admitted on the basis of marks scored on the Maharashtra Engineering Entrance Test (CET) and 15% of the students from outside Maharashtra state are admitted through JEE.
