As per the statement in the press release shared by the university, JSJC is going to focus on training students to be the future generation’s’ media spearheads, and come up with new ideas and thoughts for the future of our democracy.
Dr. YSR Murthy, the Registrar of OP Jindal Global University, further elaborated on this thought and said that their focus is on making JSJC a global journalism school, where the future generation of media spearheads can be trained with interdisciplinary education and strong research.
The journalism school will offer a three-year full time course in BA (Honours) Media & Communication from the next academic session i.e.2022 onwards. This three year long course will provide students with an in depth understanding of broadcast, print and radio journalism, and new media as well.
JSJC has opened the application process for 2022 admissions. Interested students can apply for the course via online application that is available on the JSJC website, and the last date for the application is 31st May, 2022.
The application fee is Rs. 3,000.
A student’s admission in Jindal School of Journalism and Communication will be based on his/ her score in the Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test (JSAT), which is an online entrance exam, organised by Pearson Education for all graduate programme admissions at OP Jindal Global University.
