One Week Short-Term Course at NIT, Kurukshetra on MATLAB

Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra will conduct a short term course from December 11-15, 2013. It will be a one week Short-Term Course on MATLAB Programming for Engineers.

MATLAB is a numerical computing environment and fourth generation programming language developed by Math Works. It allows matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces with programme written in other languages including C, C++, Java, FORTRAN etc.

Although it is mainly intended for numerical computing an optional toolbox uses to MuPAD symbolic engine allowing access to symbolic computing capabilities. An additional package, Simulink adds graphical multi-domain simulation and modeling based design for dynamic and embedded systems. It has around two million users across world and MATLAB users come from engineering, science and other discipline. It widely use in academic, research institutions and industrial enterprises.

Purpose of this course is to train the engineering college faculties/ research scholars/scientists/Engineers etc. in programming skills for MATLAB and enhance their soft computing skills in numerical computing environment and fourth generation programming language matrix manipulations, plotting of functions.

Faculty members/ students and research scholars from academic institutes approved by the AICTE/ UGC/MHRD and Scientists/Engineers working in Private/Public/Govt-Organizations/Industries, Research & Development establishments etc. can attend the course.

Important dates:

Participants will be selected on first come-first serve basis up to a maximum of 25. The registration form, completed in all respects, duly forwarded by the Head of the Institution/Department will be accepted.
