Nuisances within and outside the premises of Sharda University

Sharda University reopens after Diwali Vacation on Nov 6, 2013 and nuisances within and outside the premises of Sharda University follows it too.

Sharda University - the only multi-disciplinary university in Delhi NCR spread across 63 acres (although it is 57 acres as shown in the UGC report) charges their students parking fees for parking their vehicles outside the premises. Actually university has given the contract to a local contractor. Students are charged Rs 10 for 2 wheeler's per entry for a parking period of 8 hrs and in case of 4 wheeler's it raises to Rs 20. Though the students are parking their vehicles outside the campus but they are charged for it. None of the colleges in Greater Noida charges their students. Addition to this, students have to bear the nuisances created by parking contractors on day to day basis.

Fight within and outside the campus is a common scenario. Forget about the safety of students, even teachers are not safe here. For safety purpose the college has kept a security company but of no use. Their bouncers threaten the weak students everyday whereas those responsible escape without any scratches.

University promises of a world class infrastructure but the real scenario is quite horrible. Students are living in such hostels which are under construction. College canteen condition is pathetic, even though Sagar Ratna & Nescafe etc are here which can be afforded only by the higher tier of students. Students are charged exorbitantly but at the time of delivering promises, university and its management is seen nowhere.

They have promised their students 100% placement assistance and they are providing placement in Call Centre. Its more than three months since the beginning of new session but students are still waiting for the first genuine campus opportunity. Students have n't spent the hard earned money of their parents to seek placement in Call Centre. The placement eligibility criteria for students are totally illogical which ends up in debarring about 60% of the students and even that criteria keeps on changing radically.
