NCERT’s National Talent Scholarship Examination (NTSE) is meant to identify and nurture talented students from class 10 through its scholarship programme.
It is believed that the scholarship helps boost students’ confidence and inspires them to achieve academic excellence.
NCERT is scheduled to conduct NTSE stage –I exam on 5th, 6th, 13th November, 2022 for different states and the national level Stage II exam on May 14, 2022.
NTSE 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates studying in class X from recognised private/govt. schools are eligible to appear for the national-level scholarship exam.
Applicants need to get their NTSE application form signed by their school principal.
There will be no domicile restriction.
Students registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) will also be eligible to appear, provided they are:
- under the age of 18
- First time applying
- Not working
Only those who qualify in Stage –I NTSE exam will be allowed to appear for Stage –II NTSE examination.
Apart from this, each state/UT is provided with a quota to recommend a specific no. of candidates for Stage –II examination.
