NTPC to Recruit Engineers Basis GATE 2014 Scores

The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC Limited) is looking for promising, energetic young Graduate Engineers with brilliant academic record to join the organization as Engineering Executive Trainees in the following disciplines.

1. Electrical Engineering

2. Mechanical Engineering

3. Civil Engineering

4. Instrumentation Engineering

5. Electronics Engineering

Job Profile

The selected candidates shall undergo one year training at various places. The region in which the selected candidates will be posted, will be decided at the time of joining, however final place of posting in that region will be allocated only after successful completion of class room training based on the performance during the training and requirement at each location. Candidates can be placed, across the country, in any of the functions at projects/ stations or offices including joint ventures & subsidiary companies of NTPC.

Eligibility

Qualification:

Full time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE with not less than 65% marks, taking average of all the Years, irrespective of the weightage given to any particular year by the Institute/University. Final year/semester students are also eligible however they have to obtain at least 65% marks in their engineering degree.

Age Limit:

Upper Age limit is 27 years as on 18th January, 2014 i.e. candidates born before 17th January, 1987 need not apply.

How to Apply

• The candidates will receive their GATE-2014 Registration Number printed on their admit card.
• On receipt of GATE registration number, the candidates need to apply On-line for NTPC ET-2014 on the website www.ntpccareers.net from 20th December, 2013 to 18th January, 2014.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates will have to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)-2014. Based on the GATE-2014 MARKS and requirement, candidates will be short listed for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates need to secure minimum qualifying marks in GD & Interview, before being considered in the merit list. Please note that for ET-2014 recruitment, GATE scores of 2014 will only be valid.
