Now study Law at IIM Shillong

IIM-Shillong and the National University of Juridical Science West Bengal (WBNUJS) have formally entered a collaboration to start a Post-Graduate Executive Diploma in Business Management and Law (PGexDBL).


Both the institutes were represented by AK Dutta, founding director of IIM Shillong and M P Singh, vice-chancellor of WBNUJS respectively.


"The philosophy of the program deals with preparing participants to earn a professional qualification in Business Management and Law by virtue of gaining in depth understanding of various concepts in the area. The program would also aim at helping participants understand the latest developments and best practices," read an official release issued by the only B-School in the northeast.


While combined Business Management and Law studies have proved to be a great success in countries like Germany, this is among the one of the first unique initiatives in India.


"This course will come handy for judicial officers and managers. We can only hope that there are a good number of takers of this opportunity," said IIM director Dutta after signing the MoU.


The program, which is scheduled to commence later this year, would be a 15-month duration course.
