Notice regarding verification of centres/candidates at UPES

Verification Officers plays a pivotal role during the registration process for a course and a minor mistake in this regard can lead to a blunder.

It is being noticed by University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) that few verification officers commit mistake in entering the roll number of the candidate and do not pay attention even to the basic detail of the candidate and completes the process of verification for a different candidate who has not even reported for verification. Such negligence on part of the Verification officer is a matter of worry for the University and is not acceptable at all. This is creating a lot of problem.

 

UPES has also noticed that there are many students candidates who opted more than one undergraduate programs and have appeared in examinations for more than one undergraduate courses out of [B. Tech /B.Arch. /B. Tech (Biotech) /B. Pharm /BHMCT /BFA /BFAD /BFA / Lateral Entry to B. Tech (Diploama holders)/ Lateral entry (B. Sc)/ Lateral Entry to B. Pharm (Diploma holder)] against the same roll number.

 

Such candidates have to be verified against all those undergraduate programs together in one go and check boxes for eligibility that appear on screen have to be ticked accordingly at the very first time they are being verified.

 

 

 

The candidate’s verification must be done properly and it should be doubly ensured that the candidate being verified by him is the same candidate who has reported before him for verification. Moreover, the entire verification process should be completed in presence of the candidate only. 

 

Therefore, it is again clarified that verification officers must ensure that they verify the right candidates only and entries/corrections/activities are being done without any error.

 

The Verification Centres are instructed to train their verification officers in this regard.
